Costa Blanca – general information.

Costa Blanca is a long – covering almost 200 km – coastal strip located south of Valencia. This place is famous mainly for its very attractive and beautiful sandy beaches and resorts. However, although they are an undoubted tourist attraction of this region, they are not the only reason to visit this corner of Spain. Costa Blanca, because it is also an opportunity to see quite interesting and representative buildings – and not only – of historical value. However, before we go to explore the Costa Blanca, it is worth getting acquainted with the weather conditions that prevail there.

Weather on the Costa Blanca.

The most favorable for tourists weather on the Costa Blancafalls in the period from June to August. Then we can count on really high temperatures reaching from 26 to 30 degrees C.
In period from January to Marchthe temperatures on the Costa Blanca range between 7 and 8 degrees C.
If we decide to visit the Costa Blanca during the period from April to Junethen we will be greeted by temperatures varying between 10 to 17 degrees C.
From September to December, there are such atmospheric conditions here that are ideal for people who do not like steamy and hot summer. Then we can meet the temperatures from 18 – 8 degrees C.

To sum up, it should be said that those who go to the Costa Blanca, dreaming only about sunbathing, should go there in the summer. The remaining months are intended rather for people who are focused on exploring the Costa Blanca.

Sights on the Costa Blanca.

The biggest tourist attraction of this area is the city Alicante. It is a fully Spanish, very elegant and thoroughly modern metropolis. There are numerous in its area monuments that are the cultural heritage of the Romans (city founders) and Arabs (they conquered the city in 1246).

Another, equally attractive in terms of historic city located on the coast is Orihuela. On its territory, you can find many historic medieval houses near the palace and sacral buildings.

Costa Blanca is also picturesque Orb Valley. In its area, you can visit typical Spanish villages, which are a great contrast to modern, very representative apartment buildings.

While staying on the Costa Blanca, you can also visit the city called Torrevieja. There are, among others, numerous historic churches, but not only. There is also a monument worth seeing here an ancient watchtower called Torre del Moro (otherwise the Old Tower) It used to be a very important defensive point of the city, defending access to it.
When we go to visiting the Costa Blancawe should also not miss the city named Caple. They are in it, to be more precise over the Mascarat Canyon – well-preserved ruins of an Arab castle.
