Although less known, it is so charming Castle, is actually Castellon de la Plana in full, a city located in the eastern part of Spain and being in the autonomous community of Valencia. It is here, down to the very sea in Castello, that the mountains lying in the inner part of the Iberian Peninsula descend. They are a kind of wall protecting the rich cities of the coast. The weather in Castellon de la Plana does not differ from the standard weather conditions prevailing in most Spanish regions. Warm if not hot summers and slightly cooler but not frosty winters. This small town, which is Castello, is inhabited by only about 170,000 inhabitants. And although there are very few typical tourist attractions here, tourists who like all kinds of cultural heritage will certainly find many interesting places and objects here. For example, the Provincial de Bellas Artes Museum has in its collection collections dating back to the Middle Ages, as well as modern ceramics and paintings from the period between the 15th and 20th centuries. Right next to the beach there is a local planetarium – El Planerario. In addition to the numerous collections of minerals, the main attraction of this facility are the night shows of the solar system and the sky and stars. When visiting Castellon de la Plana, it is also worth visiting the city bell tower of El Fadri with a height of 58 meters, the cathedral – Catedral de Santa Maria as well as the town hall and the local market.
