While in Spain, it’s worth spending one day (because that’s enough) to get to know Murta from the side of history, monuments and attractions. A very interesting and unique object in Murcia is the Cathedral, which was built over four centuries. The uniqueness of the cathedral is expressed in the mixed styles of construction, which are described as Mediterranean Gothic. The church looks very interesting from the outside, and inside it has interesting decorations, ornaments, primitive sculptures and a huge processional monstrance, which contains 600 kg of gold and silver.

The historic town hall

Another interesting monument is the town hall, which also catches the eye with its appearance. In addition, there are interesting museums in Murcia, where the works of local artists are collected, as well as other historical products that have been found in Murcia during excavations (pottery, ceramics). While in Murcia, it is also worth visiting the local Casino, where there is an Arab patio and vestibule, an English reading room, a Pompeian patio with Ionic columns, a billiard room and a French ballroom.

Benidorm, is a Spanish city, little known to Poles, located in the Valencia region. For many Europeans, it is a holiday destination. It enjoys great popularity among them. Why? The answer in this text.

Thirty years ago, Benidorm was nothing more than a small fishing village. Today, in its place, a place has grown that can be associated with Los Angeles. Very tall skyscrapers, modern office buildings, hotels. Most of the buildings look great. It should be added – Benidorm ranks first in the world in terms of the number of skyscrapers per capita.

The city is located on three beaches – Playa de Poniente, Playa de Levante and Playa de Mal Pas. This small number does not reflect their length. In total, they have a length of 5 km. These places are perfect for everyone who is interested in this form of spending their holidays. Could there be anything better than relaxing on the beach, with a panorama of the sea on one side and skyscrapers on the other?

Attractions – Benidorm

Three amusement parks in the city are equally popular tourist attractions: Terra Mítica Aqualandia and Mundomar.

Benidorm is a very good place for holidays, for anyone who does not care about visiting unique monuments and souvenirs from the old days. It is a classic resort where you can relax. A pleasant place, which is Benidorm, can be recommended not only because of its unique character. The city is a place where it is difficult to worry about the weather. Most of the year it is sunny, although it should be added – not always warm. In winter, temperatures oscillate around 15 degrees Celsius, which by Spanish conditions does not mean warm. It’s better in summer. Sun, heat and a great beach in Benidorm. Can you want more?

Among the many islands belonging to the Canary Islands archipelago, a small island protruding to the south-west of the archipelago deserves attention. EL Hierro, because we are talking about this island, is the smallest and at the same time extremely interesting island that is worth seeing. The history of the island goes back many centuries. The first mentions of it appeared already in the second century AD. It was then that Ptolemy, on the basis of the farthest island, determined the positive and negative meridians.

El Hierro is an island which, despite its relatively small area, is very diverse and has countless monuments. An additional advantage is the variety of landscapes. We can meet there a volcanic, African and Mediterranean landscape. When it comes to monuments – archaeological monuments in Los Letreros should be mentioned. Also in El Julan, traces of ancient cultures were found – tombs, but also vessels, primitive tools. Many drawings and petroglyphs have been preserved on the walls of the caves. Without a doubt, this is a place worth seeing.

El Hierro is an island that guarantees unique landscapes, but also experiences of a different kind. On the island you can see a lot – fields of solidified lava, rainforests, valleys and plantations. The uniqueness of the place is complemented by the opportunity to see different landscapes – these views cannot be forgotten. El Hierro is the place to spend time by the water. The invitation is clean pebble beaches and water, which is very warm for a large part of the year.

Weather and water temperature on El Hierro

The temperature of the water is of course closely related to the temperature of the air. El Hierro has very pleasant weather conditions. As befits the Canary Islands, there is heat for most of the year, or even warm days. There are relatively many sunny days, so the risk of the weather spoiling the holiday is small.

El Hierro is worth a visit. This small island is a great place to relax – regardless of whether we plan a vacation there or get there for a while. El Hierro is likeable.

A segunda parte – sudoeste – é o chamado Suroeste.
