When leaving for a long-awaited and sometimes even long-awaited vacation, most of us dream of nothing else but the proverbial “holy peace”. Away from close and distant friends, and sometimes even from family, we want to rest and gather strength for another period of intense work and fulfillment of our home and professional duties. As it turns out, theory and practice do not go hand in hand in this case. Most often, on the first day, we contact our relatives for a moment to inform them about reaching the destination safely. After the next two days, we begin to miss contact with our loved ones and most often we decide to make a connection to them. In the event of a longer leave, this situation even repeats itself regularly.
How to contact the country being abroad?
First of all, to be able to make a call using your own mobile phone from Spain to Poland, you must have the roaming service enabled. Otherwise, there will be no chance of contact with relatives in Poland. Activation of this service is free, and calls are charged for calls to the country for the first 30 seconds and then for each second. The cost of such a connection is PLN 1.70 gross per minute, i.e. PLN 1.38 net. When deciding to send an SMS, we must take into account the cost of PLN 0.53 including VAT per item. Interestingly, this price is equal to one minute of the call we received in Spain.
Cheaper options possible
Being in Spain and wanting to stay in touch with loved ones, it is worth getting acquainted with the prices of local operators and their offer for the so-called pre-paid, i.e. pre-paid calls. It often turns out that a one-time purchase of a card is much cheaper than a few, even short, calls via your own mobile phone. It is also worth knowing that in Spain there are still so-called telephone booths, where you can make calls by throwing coins with fixed values into a special slot.
